PAC Newsletter and Parent Meeting on Monday!

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is made up of at least one representative from each of the 9 coops in and around Spokane – Manito Coop’s representative is Joy Sheik who has been attending the meetings and reporting back to the board.  The PAC meets once a quarter to discuss issues including fundraising, general coop questions and concerns and to approve Jean Payne Scholarship applications.  This month the PAC put out a newsletter which gives you an idea of what some of the other coops are up to.  To read the newsletter click here.

Also just a reminder that the December Parent Meeting is  coming up next Monday, December the 12th.

Finally, don’t forget to check out the “current coop families” section of the blog for board meeting minutes, the coop calendar and rosters.

Executive Board Meeting Minutes

Minutes from each Executive Board meeting are posted to the Manito Coop website in the “current coop families” section.  Reading these minutes is a great way to keep current on what the exec board is working on.  As always, if you have questions or comments or want to become more involved in coop, maybe even join the board (we love new members and it does mean getting out of putting the kids to bed on the first Monday of every month!) please talk to your class rep or any other board member.

September Parent Meeting Tonight!

Hi Coop families,

tonight is our first parent meeting!  For those of you who are new to coop we meet almost every month on the second Monday as an entire coop.  The first part of the meeting is our parent business meeting run by Meghan MgLaughlin, coop chair.  She will update the coop on what the board is doing, any announcements or upcoming events, and also take questions and feedback from the coop community.  This evening we will also be approving our 2011-2012 budget.

The second part of the evening is oriented towards parent education and tonight we will be splitting up into classes (toddlers together and PS and PK together) and getting to know our teachers a little more as well as go over policies, procedures, etc.

Parent meetings are always at 6:30pm.  Food is always provided by one of the coop classes (tonight is a baked potato bar, yum!) and the meetings are in the Memorial Lounge at the church.  The Lounge is on the main floor of the coop building.

See you all there!
